We arrived in Martinique via cruise ship and took the water taxi about 30 minutes to Anse a l'ane and then on to Anse Mitan. The round trip taxi fare was $7 USD for adults and $5 USD for kids. As for Anse Mitan, the beach area was quite small and not a lot of seating was available.

Reviewed August 13, 2020. There was a very last minute change in our cruise port stop and we ended up on Martinique. Based on reviews and recommendations we took Anse Bleue ferry to Anse Mitan. Beach was small, narrow, not very clean. We rented couple of lounge chairs and spend there few hours.

The beach at Anse Mitan has a long strip of blond sand, quite narrow, behind which there are many restaurants, bars and hotels, as well as shops and waterfront homes.
